The European Youth Parliament adopted resolution on the Bulgarian nurses sentenced to death in Libya
Participants in the Spring Session of the European Youth Project on the Model of the European Parliament adopted a resolution on the Bulgarian nurses sentenced to death in Libya on 21 April 2007.
In the resolution, students from the 27 EU Member States, as well as from the candidate countries, called for the immediate release of the five Bulgarian nurses and the Palestinian doctor and their timely home-coming.
The resolution will be sent to the European Parliament, to the European Commission and to the Council of the European Union.
On 20 and 21 April 2007 the National Assembly hosted the concluding debates of the Spring Session of the European Youth Project on the Model of the European Parliament. The session took place in Sofia from 14 to 22 April. More than 150 young people aged between 16 and 19 took part in it. Representing Bulgaria in the project were students of the First English Language School in Sofia.
