Officers and lecturers from Georgi Stoykov Rakovski Military Academy have visited the National Assembly and met with Speaker of Parliament Tsveta Karayancheva and MPs from the Defence Committee. At the meeting, they discussed the development of the armed forces and the graduate studies in Strategic Management of Defence and Armed Forces at the Military Academy.
Speaker of Parliament Tsveta Karayancheva welcomed the students from the Master’s programme in Strategic Management of Defence and Armed Forces. She expressed her satisfaction to see two Macedonian officers among them. Today the Foreign Policy Committee is going to ratify the Treaty on Friendship, Good Neighbourly Relations and Cooperation between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Republic of Macedonia, and tomorrow it is the first item on the Parliament’s agenda, she said. In her words, the Treaty will turn over a new leaf in the development of our relations with Macedonia.
Speaker of Parliament said that Georgi Stoykov Rakovski Military Academy offers programmes to train not only good officers but also good leaders. The Defence Committee members are professionals who work hard and care for the Bulgarian army, she said.
